January ends with a lot of Fire, and a little Air. Creativity is at a peak for us, as is the drive we actually need to harness it. Maybe it is just the allure and promise of the new year, but passions are high.

There is a tentative vibe pervading these last two weeks. "Will this fail again?" is a question many of us ask. We've suffered knocks, disappointment and setback this last year, and are feeling pretty damn tender. Of course, no one can take your place in your own life; the scary things cannot be done for you.

However hard it is, you must step forward on your path. Stagnation isn't an option. Know that you are supported, even if it feels anything but! You are stronger than you realise.. all you need is a confidence boost. Drop the defensiveness, and channel a little stamina. Persevere, you are nearly where you want to be!

January will show us how tough we can be as individuals. That isn't to say you cannot expect outside help and support, just that the onus is on you to fight your own battle.

Is it worth it? Oh yes. That leap of faith pays off. This is the month that you learn to trust yourself. You'll face your fears, expand your potential, tackle challenges and rebuild your self-esteem in this coming year. 2010 is about risk-taking, boldness, imagination, optimism and excitement. Take the initiative ..don't be scared. What have you got to lose? Put yourself out there and participate in life :) *cheerleads you all*

Ok, now the bummer note! There are a few nasty curve balls ahead. Aren't there always when you are doing well? Some obstacle sent to try you, and nudge you off your golden path. Take note that a lot of it is a product of your own mind. Sure, the events are real. That betrayal happens. You feel lonely, inspite of success. Your emotions and thoughts are reacting to the old you.. not to new "go-getter" you. Take a look at your thoughts and find the root of them.. often it isn't what you'd think! Clear out any lingering mental crap and you'll be unstoppable :)

Unfortunately, the World outlook isn't great for January, as acts of cruelty make big headline news. All I can suggest here is to recognise that these are acts that, on some level, we are all capable of. Sometimes people make serious mistakes.. don't let them color your view of life, and each other, as a whole. In the midst of your changing fortunes, you'd do well to retain some humility, and forgiveness if you feel able.

Forgiveness is a personal thing, and I'll never tell you what you should do with it. *My own take* is that it is not about allowing bad behaviour, or forgetting another's actions, but that it is stating you will no longer pay an emotional price for things beyond your control.
